The Shire of Carnarvon Ranger Services are available 7 days a week.
Rangers are Municipal Law Enforcement Officers who are responsible for enforcing the following legislation:
- Dog Act 1976, Cat Act and associated local laws;
- Litter Act 1979;
- Control of Vehicles (Off Road Areas) Act 1978;
- Caravan and Camping Ground Act 1995
- Local Government Act 1995 (in relation to vehicle offences);
- Bush Fires Act 1954;
- Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1960; and
- Various Local Laws of the Shire of Carnarvon.
The Shire of Carnarvon Ranger Services operate between 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday and availble for emergency calls on the weekends and public holidays. Rangers can be contacted on (08) 9941 0019 or (08) 9941 0000 or you can email at Rangers.
There are 3 Rangers situated in Carnarvon and 1 part time Ranger in Coral Bay. There may be times when response times will be slow, however all calls and emails are responded to by the first available Ranger.
