The Carnarvon Visitor Centre is located in Carnarvon’s town centre, and is responsible for marketing businesses and attractions in Carnarvon and surrounding locations within the Gascoyne region to visitors. In addition to this the Carnarvon Visitor Centre also promotes many other parts of our extraordinary State. In 2015 the Visitor Centre assisted over 50,000 people who visited the centre to make bookings, gather brochure information and purchase souvenirs for their trip.
The Carnarvon Visitor Centre has been managed by the Shire of Carnarvon since mid-2012 and is supported by the Carnarvon Tourism Alliance, a voluntary group of representatives from across the community.
The Shire of Carnarvon and Carnarvon Visitor Centre are dedicated to continuous improvement and development within the town’s tourism industry and have been recognised for their contribution to Tourism in 2012 at the WA Tourism Awards where the Shire won bronze in the Local Government category. The Shire of Carnarvon has also been a finalist in both 2011 and 2013.
