The Shire is excited by the recent announcement we are to receive $240,000 in funding under round five of the State Government’s Regional Economic Development (RED) Grants program.
The funding will support the construction of essential workforce accommodation which has long been identified as critical for private sector growth and government service delivery in the region.
“We’ve got two blocks of land ready to go, so this is really great to see these houses go ahead” says Shire President Eddie Smith.
The RED Grants program aims to drive economic development and support regional communities. The Shire appreciates the State Government’s commitment to resolving housing shortages for our community and looks forward to being able to provide new facilities for essential workers in the Gascoyne region.
