CLEO IS HOME - STATEMENT FROM THE SHIRE PRESIDENT, CR EDDIE SMITH ON THIS JOYOUS NEWS
This is a joyous day. Cleo is back home safely with her family; our hopes and prayers have been answered.
On behalf of the Council and staff at the Shire, I pay a special tribute to Cleo's parents, Ellie and Jake and their whole family who have remained strong and positive throughout these 19 anxious long days.
We would also send our warmest and most heartfelt thanks to the WA Police for their incredible dedication, diligent work and tireless efforts that have resulted in them bringing little Cleo home.
To the Carnarvon Community - you have shown what community is all about. You have supported Ellie and Jake, you have supported the Police, and you have taken every measure to help bring about this result. I have never been prouder to be the Shire President of Carnarvon.
