The Carnarvon community will see major works in excess of $150,000 being completed on the Baston Pavilion at Festival Grounds in the upcoming months. New ceilings and floors, new plumbing and electrical fixtures, and fittings, as well as fresh paint on external elements will rejuvenate this popular community facility.
The project was awarded to a local contractor who has commenced work to provide local sporting clubs with improved facilities to host events, games, and training.
“We are pleased to be providing the community with a modern and functional space” said Shire President Eddie Smith, “and of course to seeing this work going to a local contractor.”
The anticipated completion for the works is early December, in time for the summer season and holidays, with the Pavilion available to be utilised as a functional facility during the Gascoyne Games in September 2023.
