Monday 5 – Friday 9 December 2022

To assist in our preparation for the cyclone season, the Shire of Carnarvon will be providing a FREE verge side pickup for all residential premises, including plantation area residences.

Items MUST be out on your verge by 7.00AM on Monday, 5 December 2022 as collections will take place during the week from Monday 5 December to Friday, 9 December 2022.

For the Safety of our Collectors:

  • Items should not be more than 2m in length or 40kg in weight.
  • Please separate your building and green waste and neatly stack it to eliminate the chance of anything blowing away.
  • Place your items near the kerb for ease of pick up.
  • Please don’t place anything on the road, the footpath or on driveways.

Unfortunately, there are items that we cannot collect, and they include:

  • Car bodies or parts (Free for residential users to deposit at Tip)
  • Household furniture or white goods (Free for residential users to deposit at Tip)
  • Gas bottles, liquids or chemicals (Not accepted at landfill site – Please return to an authorised agent or contact the supplier for correct disposal method)
  • Sand, rubble, bricks. Rock or cement products (Free for residential users to deposit at Tip)
  • Mattresses and Couches –(If you remove the inner springs, these are free to deposit at Tip)
  • Crop netting material (This is commercial waste, fees apply)
  • Asbestos (contact our Environmental Health Department for instruction on how to dispose safely)

To ensure no street is missed, each street will be checked off as it is completed, and residents will be notified if non-compliant items cannot be collected.

This service excludes commercial and industrial properties, caravan parks or vacant blocks.

Thank you for assisting in preparing Carnarvon for the cyclone season ahead.
