Murdoch University Sterilisation Program

Over the past three days, more than 40 beloved pets from Carnarvon have undergone spaying and neutering procedures at the Mungullah Community Hall.

This initiative, offering complimentary microchipping and desexing services, extended a warm invitation to furry friends from all corners of the community.

Dedicated veterinary students from Murdoch University, on their practical work placement, journeyed from Perth to perform three days of surgical procedures.

This vital program not only enhances the well-being of these animals but also serves as an educational platform, promoting responsible pet ownership within the community.

We express our deep gratitude to the students for their exceptional contributions to this cause.

Furthermore, we extend our appreciation to our diligent Rangers for their valuable assistance to the veterinarians in executing this program, along with a special thank you to Peter Smith from K9 Control.
