Who comes to mind when you think of someone who always goes the extra mile?

- Or perhaps it's someone quietly making a difference behind the scenes.
Each year on Australia Day, the Community Citizen of the Year Awards provide an opportunity to recognise individuals and groups who make outstanding contributions to our local community.
These awards celebrate people who demonstrate leadership, generosity, and dedication—those who make Carnarvon a better place to live.
We encourage nominations from all walks of life, and especially welcome nominations for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, women, young people, people living with disability, and those from culturally diverse backgrounds.
