Flood Watch – Gascoyne River (Yellow Alert)
With Tropical Cyclone Narelle tracking further east and bringing significant rainfall, there is potential for the Gascoyne River to flood in the coming days.
If safe to do so, now is the time to prepare:
- Follow directions in official warnings on Emergency WA
- Review your household flood plan (including pets and animals)
- Secure your property inside and out
- Locate your emergency kit and add any additional items
- Check on family, friends and neighbours
Temporary Levee Works: As a precautionary measure, a temporary levee will be constructed along the river to assist in protecting residential areas and plantations.

The following roads are currently closed:
• Bibbawarra Bore Road Crossing
• Pelican Point Road
• Margaret / Angelo
• William / Angelo
• Shallcross St at Angelo
• Holden St at Boundary
• Boundary Rd / Robinson St

Waste Services Update: The Waste Facility is back open as usual.
If your bin collection is usually on Fridays and was not collected on Friday 27 March due to Tropical Cyclone Narelle, will be rescheduled due to flooding.
