BE A GREATSORT IN CARNARVON

The Shire of Carnarvon is committed to provide information through community education and resources to encourage our community to Be a GreatSort.  Here, you'll find a wealth of information and resources tailored specifically to the Carnarvon community. Our campaign encourages you to embrace the GREAT way to manage waste:

  • G - Gift items to charity, swap, or sell
  • R - Recycle - Cans and Plastic Bottles
  • E - Earth-cycle food scraps and garden waste
  • A - Avoid excess packaging and food waste
  • T - Take to drop-off points

Thanks to funding from the Waste Authority under the WasteSorted Program, the Shire of Carnarvon will be delivering a series of workshops under 'Carnarvon Gets WasteSorted' and Carnarvon-specific marketing material to help our residents become more waste-conscious. This initiative aligns perfectly with the Shire's Strategic Community Plan, with the objective that our sustainable livelihoods create a community that can flourish into the future.
