Following Ex-Tropical Cyclone Narelle, the Shire is implementing temporary waste and collection arrangements to support clean-up and recovery across the community.

One-Off Verge Collection

A one-off verge collection will take place from Tuesday, 7 April.
All eligible items must be placed on your verge no later than Tuesday morning to ensure collection.

Accepted items include:

Cyclone and flood debris, green waste, and small household items damaged during the event.

Items not accepted:

Agricultural waste (including large netting, processing waste, chemicals or hazardous materials, large amounts of plastic, spoilt produce, machinery or related materials), caravans, and asbestos.

Rescheduled Bin Collections

Due to the Easter long weekend, some bin collection days have changed.

If your usual collection day is Friday, your bins will be collected on Thursday, 2 April.
Monday collections will remain as normal.

Waste Facility Changes

Please note the following changes to the Waste Facility operating hours over Easter:

• Good Friday, 3 April – Closed
• Saturday, 4 April – Closed
• Easter Sunday, 5 April – Closed
• Easter Monday, 6 April – Open (7:00am – 2:00pm, reduced hours)
