Gascoyne Arts Society Inc. began in 1982 as Gascoyne Arts Council and rebranded as a society in 2020. This removes the perception that membership is by election. Anyone interested in the arts and their promotion is very welcome to join. The Gascoyne Arts Society continues the important role of supporting and sponsoring the arts, and anyone involved in the arts, anywhere in the Gascoyne. Membership is cheap, just $10 a year. Members include musicians, poets, writers, artists, photographers, sculptors, actors and gymnasts but also those who enjoy organizing events such as work shops, concerts and art shows.
