Project Updates

Local carpenter Stuart Parker has begun installing the trail's custom seating and interpretive signs, bringing this exciting community project one step closer to completion. These functional items incorporate reclaimed timber from the historic One Mile Jetty, preserving an important part of Carnarvon's heritage for the community to enjoy for years to come.

This project has been made possible through a Lotterywest grant of $763,530. In addition, the Australian Government’s regional Precincts and Partnership Program (rPPP) funding will further support the reinforcement of the existing ~2.5km walkway into a multi-faceted cultural trail including Stage 1 of the reinstatement of the Tramway Bridge.

Keep an eye on our page as we share more updates—we can't wait to see the community enjoying the completed Tramway Walk Trail!
