Inspired by the 2025 National Reconciliation Week theme, "Bridging Now to Next," this exhibition explored the ongoing journey of reconciliation through local artistic expression. The showcase was anchored by the work of Kalkadoon artist Bree Buttenshaw, whose pieces utilized native flora to symbolize resilience and renewal following fire and adversity.
Expanding on Buttenshaw's vision, participating artists were invited to reflect on the role art plays in connecting generations. The collection offered a unique regional perspective on what reconciliation looks like in Carnarvon, addressing three core pillars:
- The Past: Acknowledgement of the historical journey toward reconciliation.
- The Present: The ongoing impact of local issues.
- The Future: Practical steps toward building a united community in Carnarvon.
