Art Gallery
The Art Gallery has been alive with creativity as visiting facilitators Tessa, Kate, and Lisa traveled from Perth to lead inspiring workshops in the Exquisite Bodies space. This interactive exhibition has become a hit, drawing families and sparking imagination across the community.
The school holiday session for kids was immensely popular, with young artists having heaps of fun building with blocks and crafting the most amazing Exquisite Corpse drawings, those collaborative, surreal masterpieces that blend drawings into whimsical figures. A special Friday Night Art Club added to the excitement, held right in the Exquisite Bodies area. Participants moved and danced under the guidance of Lisa Coles, creating a lively evening of expression and connection.
Exquisite Bodies is a fun, multi-sensory exhibition where you can play and celebrate diverse bodies in a space designed for creativity, discussion, and inclusion. Inspired by the surrealist game Exquisite Corpse, this exhibition was created by disabled artist Bruno Booth in collaboration with Lilly Blue and The Art Gallery of Western Australia. Every body is welcome to this hands-on exhibition.
Exquisite Bodies has proven an amazing asset to the gallery so far, especially for families who've been making full use of the space to build awesome sculptures and unleash their creativity.
Come and visit us at the Library and Art Gallery during opening hours, or contact us if you'd like to organise a special group session with our creative facilitators. Don’t miss out, join the fun!
