The Shire of Carnarvon is delighted to congratulate Mrs Dannielle (Danni) Hill on being awarded the Public Service Medal (PSM) in the 2026 King's Birthday Honours.
The Public Service Medal is one of Australia's most prestigious honours, recognising outstanding service by employees across local, state and federal government. Danni's award acknowledges more than three decades of dedicated service to the Carnarvon community and local government.
Danni commenced employment with the Shire of Carnarvon in November 1994 and has been a valued member of the organisation for more than 31 years. Throughout her career, she has provided consistent support to elected members, Chief Executive Officers, employees and the community, reflecting a genuine commitment to serving the people of Carnarvon.
Commissioner Martin Aldridge congratulated Danni on the recognition, noting that the award reflects her long-standing commitment to local government and the Carnarvon community.
"This honour is a fitting recognition of Danni's 31 years of service to the Shire of Carnarvon and the local community. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated an enduring commitment to public service and has supported generations of elected members, Chief Executive Officers, employees and community members. On behalf of the Shire of Carnarvon, I congratulate Danni on this outstanding achievement and thank her for her dedication and service over more than three decades."
In her current role as Special Projects Officer, Danni continues to share her extensive knowledge and experience across the organisation, supporting projects, assisting teams and helping preserve valuable corporate knowledge developed throughout her long career in local government.
The Shire of Carnarvon is proud to celebrate Danni's achievement and thanks her for the dedication, professionalism and service she has provided to the organisation and community throughout her career.
