General
The Shire of Carnarvon is reminding pet owners that annual cat and dog registrations expire on 31 October, unless your pet has a lifetime registration.
Keeping your pet registered helps our Ranger Services Team quickly identify and reunite lost pets with their owners, while also ensuring registration and contact details are kept up to date.
Register Online
Pet owners can now complete their registration online through the Shire’s Cat & Dog Information page.
The online registration process provides a convenient way to complete your registration and access information about registration requirements.
What You Need to Know
All dogs over three months of age must be registered and microchipped.
When registering your pet, you will need to provide:
- proof of microchipping; and
- proof of sterilisation, where applicable.
The registration fee for dogs and cats for the 2026/27 period is $120. Renewals made after 31 May are charged at half the applicable rate.
Annual registrations remain current until 31 October each year, with renewal notices issued at the beginning of October.
