The Shire of Carnarvon would like to provide an update on recent road and bridge access changes across the network.
Bibbawarra Crossing is now open to traffic and will remain open over the Easter break, supporting improved access for residents, pastoralists and visitors.
Further works are scheduled to take place on the crossing next week, from Tuesday to Thursday between 7:00am and 4:00pm. During these times, traffic management will be in place, and road users are asked to allow extra travel time and follow all signage and directions from onsite crews.
In addition, Pelican Point Road will be restricted to local traffic only from 5:00pm today. This measure is in place to support safety and manage access while conditions continue to be monitored.
The Shire thanks the community for its continued patience and cooperation as recovery and maintenance works progress across the road network. Motorists are reminded to drive to conditions and remain alert when travelling through affected areas.
