The Shire of Carnarvon’s Recovery Coordinator, Jamie Bone, Executive Manager Lifestyle and Community, Stephanie Leca, and Tourism and Economic Development Officer, Olivia Reihana, were in Coral Bay yesterday meeting with local tourism operators.
The visit focused on discussing the Cyclone Narelle tourism recovery packages, including the 50% discount voucher program supported by Tourism WA. It was also an important opportunity to spend time with businesses on the ground, listening to their current challenges, understanding the impacts firsthand, and identifying where support is most needed.
Conversations also highlighted several upcoming initiatives the Shire will be rolling out to support both Carnarvon and Coral Bay as the region continues to recover and rebuild following Cyclone Narelle.
The Shire remains committed to working closely with industry to ensure a coordinated and meaningful recovery for the region’s tourism sector.
