Why does the Blowholes have a charge for locals, when Monkey Mia doesn’t?
Monkey Mia operates under a special agreement between RAC, DBCA, and local government. While locals don’t pay an entry fee, they still pay camping fees of:
• $15 per adult
• $10 per concession
• $5 per child (per night)
In comparison, the Blowholes Annual Membership is $100 per year, includes camping and access for two vehicles, and covers up to six people per vehicle.
Unlike the DBCA Park Pass (entry only, one vehicle at a time), the Blowholes Membership:
• Covers two vehicles
• Includes camping
• Allows unlimited year-round access
It’s a cost-effective and fair system that supports sustainable use of the reserve.
How will people who don’t use Facebook hear about these changes?

These changes aim to ensure the reserve remains safe, clean, and sustainable for everyone to enjoy now and into the future.
