Draft Mobile Trading Policy

In accordance with section 2.7(2)(b) of the Local Government Act 1995, which provides that one of the Council's governing roles is to determine the local government's policies, Shire of Carnarvon invites public comment on its proposed Draft Mobile Trading Policy.
The Draft Mobile Trading Policy has been developed to provide a consistent and transparent framework for assessing and managing mobile trading activities on local government property and other public places within the district excluding Coral Bay.
The policy is intended to support the administration of the Public Places and Local Government Property Local Law 2021 by establishing clear principles and assessment criteria for the consideration of applications to conduct mobile trading on land under the care, control and management of the local government.
The Draft Planning Policy has been published in the following manner:
- A copy of the policy is available on the Shire of Carnarvon website, here.
- A hardcopy of the draft policy is available for inspection at the Shire's office, 3 Francis Street, Carnarvon WA 6701.
Submissions on the policy can be lodged in writing on or before 4pm on the 31st of July 2026.
