The Pier

The Pier is a significant housing development being delivered by DG Corp, and funded by the Australian Government’s Regional Precincts and Partnerships Program (rPPP). Overlooking the beautiful Carnarvon Fascine waterfront, this private-sector development is set to deliver 36 build-to-rent dwellings and 20 build to sell/short stay dwellings, a bar/bistro, and amenities.
This project will achieve objectives within the Carnarvon Activation Plan (CAP), a strategic initiative designed to enhance key public spaces, improve connectivity, and boost local engagement. The CAP was developed in response to community feedback in 2022, which highlighted concerns about the town centre’s appeal, safety, and economic vitality. The Shire worked closely with community stakeholders to identify priority projects that would make the biggest impact.
The Pier will help to address Carnarvon’s housing shortage, particularly for key workers and professionals who are essential to the community.

- Funding agreements have been executed.
- Site works are underway.
