The exhibition brings a striking new presence to the Art Gallery, with 16 large-scale works in charcoal and graphite installed directly onto the Gallery walls. Rich in detail, the works appear almost three-dimensional, inviting visitors to take their time and look more closely.

Situational Awareness, made in Carnarvon by Melbourne artist Linda Tegg, is moving to PICA after six months at the Carnarvon Space and Technology Museum. Created during Tegg’s SPACED Circular Economies residency, it uses local materials to trace satellite trails and explore how light pollution affects Yinggarda stories and astronomy. It will be on show at PICA from 16 October to 20 December 2026.

The Gascoyne Art Awards 2026 officially opened with a wonderful evening celebrating creativity, connection, and the outstanding talent of artists from across the region.

The Shire of Carnarvon presents Portraits of Yinggarda Elders II, a powerful exhibition celebrating the strength, stories and cultural legacy of eight respected Yinggarda Elders. Opening Saturday 23 May, 10–11am with a Yarns & Tea gathering during the Gnulli Festival, the exhibition runs until 13 June at the Shire of Carnarvon Library & Art Gallery.

Carnarvon artists Barry Bellotti Snr and Karla Tittums have been chosen for the WA Regional Arts Triennial 3 at John Curtin Gallery, Perth. Their works will feature alongside 154 artists from across Western Australia.

Carnarvon First Nations artists Karla Tittums and Devinia Wainwright returned home inspired after showcasing their work at WA's largest Aboriginal art event, the Revealed Exhibition at PICA and Aboriginal Art Market at WA Museum Boola Bardip. Jimmy's first exhibition, Creative Way of Doing Art, was a fun and creative night celebrating his unique view of the world through masks, puppets, and paintings. The Halloween-themed opening brought live music, piñatas, and plenty of candy, with Jimmy himself wearing a self-made mask as part of the experience. It was a great turnout with artwork sold on the night, making it a really special moment for Jimmy.
