Carnarvon artists Barry Bellotti Snr and Karla Tittums selected for major Perth exhibition
Two Carnarvon based artists who exhibited in the Radical Futures: Solid Ground exhibition at the Shire of Carnarvon Library & Art Gallery have been selected for the major WA Regional Arts Triennial survey exhibition at John Curtin Gallery in Perth.
Shire of Carnarvon would like to congratulate:
- Barry Bellotti Snr “Jungoonajimboo”
- Karla Tittums “Our Seas and River”
Selected through a collaborative curatorial process led by Sarah Roots and the John Curtin Gallery team, these works will join pieces from exhibitions held across regional Western Australia as part of the Regional Arts Triennial.
Regional Voices, Statewide Reach
| The exhibition brings together 154 artists from 23 towns and communities across all nine WA regions, with 22 First Nations artists represented, the highest proportion in the Triennial’s history. The Gascoyne region’s contribution, Radical Futures: Solid Ground, featured 16 artists across three different locations within our region, sharing stories of place, identity and collective futures while celebrating the talent and diversity of arts practice in our region. We’re proud to see these works reach wider audiences through this statewide showcase and future touring opportunities. |
