It was a pleasure to welcome the Hon Hannah Beazley BA MLA, Minister for Local Government; Disability Services; Veterans; Volunteering; Youth; and the Gascoyne, during her recent visit to the region for the Gascoyne Food Festival.

Carnarvon turned on its charm with spectacular weather, providing a wonderful backdrop to showcase several of the key projects underway across our community.

Importantly, the visit provided an opportunity to discuss how we can ensure our public spaces, accommodation, maternity services, community facilities and future developments (including the airport upgrade) are accessible, welcoming and inclusive for people of all abilities.

Ministerial visits are valuable opportunities to demonstrate the work happening locally, speak candidly about the needs and aspirations of our community, and strengthen the partnerships required to deliver meaningful outcomes for Carnarvon and the broader Gascoyne.

Thank you, Minister Beazley, for taking the time to visit Carnarvon, engage with our community and continue these important conversations.
