Cyclone Season Preparations - Residential Verge Side Collection 2025

To make is safe for our collectors - 
• Items should not be more than 2m in length, 40kg in weight, or 100mm in diameter.
• Green waste is separated from building waste and neatly stacked.
• Items to be collected are not to obstruct any part of the footpath, driveway or road.
• Items are to be placed out the day before or by 6am on the day of collection.
Items that will not be collected - 
• Car bodies, parts or tyres
• Gas bottles
• Crop material
• White goods (such as - dryers, washing machines, fridges, deep freezers)
• *Asbestos
• Sand, rubble, bricks, rock, or cement products
• Liquids (such as paint or oil)
• Broken glass
• Large logs or wood stumps
• *Chemicals (such as chemical drums or pesticides)
*For information on how to dispose of these safely, please contact our Environmental Health Department
To ensure no street is missed, each will be checked off as it is completed, and residents will be notified if non-compliant items cannot be collected.
This service excludes commercial and industrial properties, caravan parks or vacant blocks.
