Pelican Pont Spit Information

We wish to advise the community that access to the Pelican Point Spit is as follows:

• Vehicle access is prohibited as per the Council approved Plan, until November 2024 at which time Council will review access arrangements.
• Pedestrian access is allowed but we ask you to please stay off the dunes to allow the vegetation to grow.

Please note: While the area was a construction site and under the control of the Department of Transport and its contractors, it was closed to all vehicular and pedestrian traffic.  Now that the site has been handed back to the Shire, pedestrians access is permitted.
