Public Notice – Temporary Road Closures for the Gascoyne Dash

The Shire of Carnarvon advises the community that temporary road closures and access changes will be in place due to the Gascoyne Dash on Saturday 15th and Sunday the 16th of August.
We encourage residents and visitors to plan ahead when travelling in the area and hope to see the community out supporting this fantastic local event.
Miaboolya Road will be closed just past the Gascoyne Dash Start/Finish point, including all access to Miaboolya Beach.
There will also be no through access on Bibbawarra Road from the North River Road intersection when approaching from the south, and no through access when approaching from the north.
Access to the Blowholes
Anyone travelling to the Blowholes will need to access the area via North West Coastal Highway for the duration of the road closures.
Spectator Access
Spectators will still be able to access designated viewing points from both the north and south, as well as the Gascoyne Dash Start/Finish area.
Motorists are asked to plan their journey accordingly, follow all traffic management signage and directions, and drive with care around the event area.
The Shire thanks the community for its patience and cooperation and wishes all competitors, organisers, volunteers and spectators a safe and enjoyable Gascoyne Dash.
