Songbird

Wednesday 8th May 2024

Songbird unfolds the poignant narrative of Leon and Brooke, a once-inseparable couple torn apart by the tragic loss of Brooke's brother, Michael. Their bond, forged through a lifetime of friendship, shattered with Michael's untimely demise.

Now, after five years of separation, Leon yearns to bridge the chasm between them, driven by a need to uncover the truth behind Michael's passing. Yet, as he delves deeper, he grapples with the weight of buried emotions and the complexities of reconciliation. Will Leon's quest for closure lead to understanding, or will it unveil truths too painful to bear?

Amidst the echoes of shared memories and a mutual love for music, "Songbird" explores the enduring power of forgiveness amidst the lingering ache of loss. Join us as we witness whether the melody of forgiveness can soar above the sorrow that binds them both.

Official opening by the Shire President of This Life Arts Festival and lunch on Wednesday 8 May at 12pm, Show starts at 1pm.
