Shire of Carnarvon Secures $14,546.00 Grant for Waste Education Initiatives

The Shire of Carnarvon is thrilled to announce that it has successfully secured $14,546.00 in funding from the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation as part of the WasteSorted Grants - Community Education 2023-2024 program.

The Shire will use this funding to implement a series of workshops on waste education, complemented by an extensive marketing campaign. Building on the achievements of the Beautiful Streets: 6701 initiatives, the project will further enhance community awareness and engagement in waste and sustainability.

Shire CEO Andrea Selvey expressed her enthusiasm for the initiative, stating, "This grant is a significant boost for our community's efforts towards sustainable waste practices. The upcoming workshops and marketing campaign will build on the positive outcomes achieved through our Beautiful Streets: 6701 initiatives."
