The Shire of Carnarvon has partnered with the Carnarvon Road Wise Committee and Main Roads on a Community Bike Ride to be held October 29 in support of the Ride Bright, Be Seen campaign by the Western Australia Local Government Association (WALGA).
With the return of spring bringing optimal weather conditions for active outdoor activities such as bike riding, communities across the state see an influx of bicycle and e-bicycle riders on roads and paths. The Ride Bright, Be Seen campaign encourages riders to take an active role in their personal safety by taking steps to become more visible to other road users. Ideas include using lights, reflectors, and bright, colourful clothing.
The Carnarvon community is invited to join us for the Community Bike Ride on Saturday, October 29, for a ride along the Fascine with your bicycles, scooters, or skateboards. Prizes, including a brand new bike donated by Real Futures, will be awarded on the day to participants who wear their best and brightest colours.
