The Shire of Carnarvon advises on the detection of foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) and lumpy skin disease (LSD) in Indonesia and the importance of industry and government enhancing the level of biosecurity and emergency animal disease preparedness.

The livestock disease is now close to our border, and holiday travellers are urged to exercise caution to avoid coming home with the highly contagious viruses. Strict biosecurity measures are in place for all travellers from Bali and Indonesia returning to Australia.
