The Shire of Carnarvon thrilled to announce that it has successfully secured $26,050 in funding from the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industry, as part of the Outdoor Active Recreation Participation Program. The Shire will use this funding to deliver a series of mountain-biking workshops using the pump track to assist Carnarvon’s youth develop the skills and confidence to use this new infrastructure. The project will further enhance youth engagement with the pump track, giving young people the confidence and competence to progress with this recreation activity.

The Shire of Carnarvon is pleased to announce that Darryl Bellotti, a Malgana Yamatji man and accomplished artist and graphic designer, has been selected to bring his artistic talents to the forefront of the Skate Park mural as part of the Carnarvon Youth Precinct Revitalisation project. Born and raised in Carnarvon, Darryl's profound connection to the land and deep appreciation for his cultural heritage uniquely inform his artistic expression. Through his creative expertise, Darryl communicates traditional knowledge, instilling a sense of culture into his projects.
