The Give Write initiative has partnered with the Shire of Carnarvon to provide pre-loved stationery packs. The Give Write Packs project equips students with the necessary tools to make the most of their education.

The much-needed refurbishment works have been completed on the Baxter Park ablutions and this important community facility will be reopened for public use tomorrow.

The Shade Sails installation is now complete at Town Beach, thanks to funding from the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Programme and from Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation as part of the Total Solar Eclipse event. This has resulted in much-needed the shade coverage of the playground area.

Works commence Tuesday 31 January on Stage One of the Skate Park refurbishment.  The works include removing existing park furniture to allow access for concrete works and upgrades to furniture.

Infrastructure projects identified to improve the overall amenity of Carnarvon and Coral Bay through the 2023 Total Solar Eclipse and beyond, led by the Shire with funding support from the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation (JTSI), have resulted in the majority of project contracts awarded to local contractors.

The Shire of Carnarvon Council has agreed to enter into a licence agreement with Horizon Power for the installation of two electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in the town centre. The EV charging stations will be built on an area of land on Camel Lane for use by the community and visitors.

The Shire is excited to announce major redevelopment works for Baxter Park which will be implemented over the next six months.
